IMFriend Options

General Tab
The General tab lets you choose whether IMFriend reads Messenger conversations. You can also choose which voices will be used for which tasks, along with being able to quickly mute IMFriend if needed.

Contacts Tab
The Contacts tab lets you control the name IMFriend will use when IMFriend announces the status change of a contact. For example, you may have a contact named 'Connie' whom you would prefer IMFriend to address as 'Mom'. Then, when your Mom signs in to Messenger, IMFriend will say "Mom is online."

You can also select the gender of each contact and then have IMFriend use a different voice for males and females (see the General Tab above).

Pronunciations Tab
The Pronunciations tab lets you correct any words the computer mispronounces. Just click 'Add' to add a new word to your computer's lexicon.

You can also enter a phrase into the 'Phrase text' box and click 'Speak' to make sure the computer says a phrase correctly. If you find any mistakes, add the appropriate words to the computer's lexicon.

Word Pronunciation Dialog
When you click 'Add' or 'Edit' on the Pronunciations tab (see above) the Word Pronunciation Dialog appears. This dialog lets you add or edit word pronunciations to the computer's lexicon. The computer should pronounce most words correctly, but if you find a name that isn't quite right, you can correct it here.
